After retirement, I ventured into a new and wonderful world of Art. Studying with artist Oona Lewis – Impressionist from 2002-2009.
I am a member of The Arts Council of Wilson, exhibit in numerous group art shows, and attend workshops here and abroad. I’ve studied in workshops with Dwight Mitchell and plein air and portrait workshops with Pegi Sharp.
I do florals, landscapes, architecture and still lifes. Oil and acrylic are the media of choice.
As an artist you are acutely aware of nature’s beauty. You mentally hug trees, revel in the riotous color of a garden and become friends of small creatures. It’s an exhilarating experience. I am delighted to produce a picture, but my real treasures are the caring, sharing artists and craftsmen I have met along this creative path.
