Pat Montgomery
Artist Statement: “In the beginning God created…and so must I."
Born and reared in Nashville, N.C., Pat studied at Meredith College for two years before transferring to Barton College where she earned her B.S. Degree in Art Education and later a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education. She spent her entire 27 year career in the Nash/Rocky Mount Schools teaching art.
Pat sings, speaks, paints and does potter’s wheel demonstrations at conventions, seminars, in churches and small group settings all over the state on a regular basis. Since retiring, she is now affiliated with Studio One, an artists’ co-op in Wilson, N.C., where she creates and displays her art work. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections across the state and the eastern seaboard of the U.S. and she is associated with a number of galleries in eastern North Carolina.
Believing that God has given her talents in the art field to promote the work of His kingdom, Pat travels about demonstrating the work of the “Master” with her painting and pottery skills. |
